My week in pictures

Aside from baking, grocery shopping, movie watching I...
...sorted out clothes that I can still wear. My tummy's growing rapidly now.

...finally had the time to develop (or should I say film to cd) my lomo pictures. This one's my favorite! :)
...attended the last day of my basic Korean language class. Will surely miss my classmates and our seonsaengnim. :(
...made a tutorial on how to do FISHTAIL BRAIDS which I will be posting this coming week. :) This one's just an out take. My husband was making me laugh.
Plus, I know I promised to post my giveaway last Friday but I'm still waiting for some prizes to arrive. I'll post it next week for sure! :P

Remember my DIY skull shirt?

Well look at what I found at Zara? The same DIY shirt design I made a several months ago. See it here! Of course their version is way better. lol.

I got it a couple of weeks ago and got to wear them yesterday for our Avengers date night. I was going for the whole Coachella look and here's the rest of my outfit..

Hat - Accessorize
Skull cut out shirt - Zara
DIY denim cut offs - People are people
Tribal print bag - Forever 21
Boots - Finch Style

I actually ditched the boots and the hat and opted for a more comfortable and subdued look. Instead of wearing the boots I wore this beaded sling back moccasins from Schu.

I really enjoyed watching the Avengers. I loved Iron Man and Thor. Chris Hemsworth is soooo hot don't you think? :)

Domestic Goddess Project: Baking Ultimate Fudge Brownies

I decided to be productive today and bake the brownie mix I bought from S&R. It was my first time baking so I was quite apprehensive with the results but I think everything worked out well.

You will need:
1. Measuring cup
2. 8x8 baking pan (preferably metal)
3. Mixing bowl
4. Spatula
5. Wooden Spoon (or any mixing apparatus)

Ingredients:
1. 1 box of Ghirardelli Ultimate Fudge Brownie Mix
2. 1/4 cup water
3. 1/3 cup vegetable oil
4. 1 egg

Step 1:
Preheat oven at 325°F and grease the baking pan

Step 2:
Place water, oil, and egg in bowl and stir until fully mixed. Add brownie mix and stir until well blended. Spread in prepared pan.

Step 3:
Place the pan with the brownie mix in the preheated oven and bake for 39-43 minutes

HOW TO KILL TIME... :)

Play Snoopy's Street Fair. Add me!!! :)
Play the Piano. lol

Step 4:
After brownies are baked, warm fudge topping by placing unopened pouch in hot tap water for 4-5 minutes. Remove from water and squeeze pouch 4-5 times to soften topping. Cut off fudge pouch and squeeze onto warm brownies. Cool completely in pan before cutting

Step 5:
Cut and enjoy the ooey gooey fudge brownies

I guess it turned out pretty well. Not bad for a first timer. :)
Can you share your brownie recipes to me. I'd love to compare notes.

How to: Etude House Mag Play Nails

Here's a simple tutorial on how to achieve the perfect Mag play nails effect. :)

Here's what you need:

- The Mag Play nails nail lacquer (#5 Black Dark hole)
- The Mag Play nails magnet
- Primer/Top coat (I'm using the Jelly Pop top coat from Etude House)
- Nail polish remover (In case you didn't get it right the first try. I'm using Fresh Nail wash safe also from EH)
- Cotton balls (for the remover)

How to:
- Coat 1 nail with the Mag Play polish
- Quickly and gently put the Mag Play magnet on top of the coated nail
- Wait for about 5-10 seconds before removing the magnet
- Put the top coat

Additional tips:
- If you want a darker shade. You can double coat the polish then quickly put the magnet on top.
- Put the magnet on top while the polish is still wet
- Be careful not to let the magnet touch the nail for it can ruin the whole thing
- Do it 1 finger nail at a time

It's that easy. There is really no need for a tutorial but I hope this helped. :)
So have you tried it yet? Let me know!

Etude House MOA Opening Haul

I was thrilled to find out that Etude House finally opened it's stand alone store at SM Mall of Asia. Since me and my husband have our date nights there on a weekly basis, it will be easier for me to check out their newest products. I prefer buying at Etude stores than department store kiosks since I can earn points using my Etude House card.

So here's my EH mini haul:
1. FREEBIE for every 1,500Php you spend (a cute anti radiation sticker for your phone)
2. Dear My Blooming Lips-talk in RD 303 - 478 Php (roughly 11$)
3. Matte Real Nail Top coat - 198 Php (4.64$)
4. Mag play nails #5 Black Darkhole - 348 Php (about 8$)
5. Mag play nails magnet - 100++ Php (sorry I forgot the price)
6. Apricot stick # 2 - 198 Php
7. Apricot stick # 8 - 198 Php
8. Mascara Remover One shot clean - 198 Php (4.64$)

Been searching for an alternative Eye makeup remover since my Majolica Majorca Eyes Reset Gel is not working for me. Luckily, I found this. It easily removes my stubborn water-proof mascara and eye liner with a few wipes.

 My new lippies.

From EH's newest line of lipsticks the Dear My collection. Wanna Be sweet? Kiss note. Have you seen the super cute commercials for this?

My new favorite toy. lol The Mag nails kit. Super cute and cool effect. Here's a preview:

Tadah! My Magnet nails. Will post the tutorial tomorrow so stay tuned.

Have you tried any of these products? Leave a comment and let me know what you think. :)

Affordable Shoe Organizing and other nifty storage stuff

Shoe Organizing:

Got the idea of storing my shoes in these transparent containers from my mom. Saw her putting all her shoes in these kinds of boxes which is apparently nicer to look at than those dusty old shoe boxes. She bought me several pieces and now I'm hooked. I've thrown out several shoe boxes  (except the cute nice ones) and opted to buy and take home shoes without the box.
Comes in two sizes. One for my heels and booties, and one for my flats

Price and Where to buy:
Small = 85Php each at Saizen (Daiso)
Large = 300+Php for 3 pcs. at Howards Storage World

Pros:
Transparent
Reusable
Stackable

Cons:
Can't think of any yet (lol)

Nail Polish Storage:

The black organizer holding my nail lacquers is actually a ring organizer. :) Fits my nail polishes perfectly and it can hold up to 40 nail polish bottles (Etude House petite nails size).

 Price and Where to buy:
195Php at Beauty Bar

 Make-up and Rings Storage:

For my eye liner pens, pencils, mascaras, Garnier eye products and lippies I bought this acrylic pen stand so that it would not look cluttered on my dresser.

I found this small first aid box and converted it into a ring storage box.
Price and Where to Buy:
Acrylic Pen stand: 85Php at MUJI
First aid kit box: 115Php also from MUJI

Will share more storage solutions soon. :)

PLUS, I will be posting my GIVEAWAY next week! :)
